In todays lesson i had my first attempt in using photoshop to create a Digipak as it was our given task.
Above you can see my created version.

Digipak practice:

You can see above the first digipak that i have created, overall i am happy with how it turned out because i am currently doing photography which is beneficial because we spend most of our lessons using photoshop, so i know the basic skills that we need to produce our final digipak for our music video.

You can see from the practice above that i have been able to import my own image that i have taken from the internet to create a consistent graphic to make the digipak look realistic, i have also cut out a photo of one of our teachers then placed him over the image, the last thing i did was add a text with the font that i like to give the audience some information.

DO's

• Use small font
• Use clear photos that are in focus
• Use appropriate photos
• Use layout that follows rule of thirds
• Follow the convention of 3 color rule
• Think carefully about how you integrate - Font , Text , Image
• USe Appropriate Industry Logo's

DON'T

• Stretch images
• Use layer styles
• Use unnecessary effects
• Place text across artist's face
• Use a font simply because YOU like it
• Be creative (not to put different images on each panel)
