Editing: Merging shots

From the very beginning we as a grop decided that we wanted to merge 2 shots together from where the singer would stand aside and sing whilst looking back at her previous life with her ex boyfriend. We achieved this by carefully setting out the frame of the shot before filming and leaving the camera in the exact place when filming each different part.

This is our performer filming both shots, separately. To make it clear to the audience we made our performer change outfits. We framed our shot like this so when merging them together the 2 shots wouldn't overlay each other

 When editing we merged the 2 shots together on final cut which left us with this being our end production of our merging shots<. As group we feel pleased with the way it has turned out and it has also looked exactly how we expected it to look.
