Task 10: Skills audit

My researching skills since AS media has developed, as for A2 media I feel like there is more aspects that you have to consider when filming and planning in order to make sure that your final production makes sense. When creating a thriller opening the main things that you have to consider is what thriller genre it is and then focus on how will you use mise en scene to convey this genre. Also before planning last year we watched a few thriller  opening sequence to gain a sense of what we had to create. My researching skills has improved since then because I have been able to critise what makes a good music video from an audience perspective before making my own. Also realising how much mise en scene is an important function to make a music video work as all features of mise en scene need to link together in order for the song to connect and make sense if its not following a disjuncture structure. My researching skills have also improved as when researching a song to choose I looked at almost every british genre before deciding what genre to go with, as I wanted to broader my imagination before coming up with a final decision.
